Drawing Bottle Miku ~
Styles and Mediums to Try Out
Digital: I lo~ve spring.
Practicing poses, anatomy and expressions. After fixing the proportions and rendering it in SAI, I really like how it turned out.
I love colouring sketches with watercolour.
I really wanted to do this meme cause whenever I see it done by others, I feel so inspired and motivated. I hope this is somehow inspiring to all of you as well <3
The first drawing is from grade 8, the year I joined deviantART(with my old account) and also the year I began to take art more seriously and started trying very hard to improve. If back then, I knew my style and skill would eventually evolve into this, I would have spent every second of free time I had, drawing to get there faster. But the truth is, I didn’t think I could get much better no matter how hard I tried. There have been SO many times when I wished I could just know if all the effort I put into every drawing would even be worth it, so I’d know weather to give up or keep going. I didn’t want to waste my time trying to accomplish something impossible. I was so impatient back then…Well I still am, but knowing that I’ve improved so much, gives hope that I can keep improving this fast. I know I’ll never be completely satisfied with my art. Neeeeeeeeeeeeeever -because my standards and expectations grow as my skill does. But I am proud and I’ll always be proud of how much I’ve learned and improved, my grade-8-self would be proud too. Completing this meme made me so glad I decided not to quit all those times I wanted to. 2008: 2013: Blank Meme: ![]() Halfway through last week, bronchitis decided to pay me another visit, so I’ve been sick for all of my March break. I finished my medication on Thursday, and I feel much better now, so I’ll be back to normal again in no time. I wish I could have been able to enjoy my week off more, but spending these last three days out with family and partying with friends, has totally made up for all the days I spent in bed.
Since school buses were canceled, I have the day off for today. Given my good mood this morning, I decided to experiment with watercolour. I’m really happy with how it turned out so I’ll definitely be doing more watercolour works from now on. |
